I’ve been thinking about what is the hardest style to achieve in Second Life? I know that everyone probably  has a difference of option on this,but this is my blog lol, and I’m going with a cocktail look! I always dread getting a invite to a event in Second Life or in real life for that matter that says Cocktail attire! Wonder why that is?  So I had some time on my hands this weekend and decided That I was going to overcome my fears and put together  a sexy cocktail look!

I really love this mesh dress from TuTy’s!  I’ve always liked the hair from there, but I hadn’t been shopping there in awhile! When I came across this dress on MP I loved it right away.. Maybe cause I’m a mesh addict or maybe cause its alot like a dress i would probably gravitate toward in real life!  Whatever the reason I knew i was going to blog this dress!! I think the key to a classy sexy cocktail look is to keep it simple and clean!  You can easily over do it on make up and jewels as well as the wrong hair! Maybe that’s why a great cocktail look is so hard to achieve!

 

I’ve always thought that cocktail dresses are the best time to break out your highest high heels!  Now don’t get to carried away ladies leave your stripper fish tank platforms at home, but if you have a great stiletto that you wouldn’t normally wear 9-5. I think cocktail parties are the perfect place to rock those high heels girls! For my cocktail look I chose some of the best sky high heels on the grid  Angelic Lefevre !! i fished my look off with some simple silver jewelry and clutch.

Look # 14 Theory of a Deadman – Not Meant To Be

I know that I’m pretty awful at posting new blogs, I seem to only do one every two months, I am going to try and get better! So who can believe that we have made it to fall already?? It seems pretty crazy!! It feels like summer just started and now its over! I have to admit though fall is one of my favorite fashion seasons!! Im not sure if it’s the colors, or getting to break out those cozy sweaters That were stored away all summer but Fall and spring are definitely my favorite seasons!

Okay so I do know one of my favorite things about fall.. You get to break out the boots!! I’m a huge fan of boots so any chance I have to wear them I’m going for it! LOL.. Last fall/winter in  Second Life mesh was just starting to get really popular. So I’m really excited to see what the super talented designers come up with this fall and winter with all the new mesh styles available. The boots I chose for this look came as part of a outfit, The outfit wasn’t exactly my style but I liked the boots so much I bought the whole outfit just to get them!

When You think of fall fashion of course you think of back to class looks! That is definitely something that has changed over the years, 10 years ago when you thought of back to school it was mostly teens and people in their early 20s. However now its much more commen for people of every age to be found in the classroom!

Look # 13 (Christina Aguilera – I am a good girl)

I’m blogging today with one of my favorite color combos baby purple and navy! I love the contrast between these two colors and pair them together alot not only in Second Life, but real life as well! I don’t know about the rest of you, but I just love being able to wear skirts without a skirt shape!! I really just can’t stop buying mesh pencil skirts, and really there does not seem to be any shortage of stores offering great new mesh skirts!

My skirt for today’s look comes from Baiastice, the mesh line from this store is just fantastic and if you haven’t got a chance to check it out then I would suggest you check it out your sure to find at least a couple pieces you can add to your mesh wardrobe! My top for this outfit comes from G Field* truth be told this is probably one of my favorite stores in second life. I was there the other day and notice that they had a few mesh offerings now also ( this shirt is not one of them) So I was super excited about that, I will be checking back often to see if they are coming out with any new stuff!

Heels for this look are from Redgrave! They have some really cute new shoes out and this is one of the styles! The cool thing about their shoes is for about 600 bucks you can get them in. I think 12 different colors. Considering some shoes on the grid run about 900-1200 for one  pair, I think this is a steel, Redgrave always puts out a really quality product too!  I’ve finshed over this look with a white tote and a couple of gold bracelets!

Look 11 (Dancin’ Away With My Heart-Lady Antebellum)

I’ve really wanted to do a formal blog and when I seen the gorgeous new Jasmine dress from Just Darling I knew the time was right! This flowing dress mixes sexy and classy perfectly it has a sheer jeweled bodice and flowing skit that shows alot of leg for that sexy touch!!  I would be willing to bet that if you wore this out dancing your partner wouldn’t be able to take his eyes off you!! Really the only challange you are going to have with this dress is picking what one of the 6 available colors you want.

When selecting a formal gown I tend to be drawn to a very particular kind of dress, I want something that is feminine. elegant that can be sexy without looking trashy. I know I know! Im not asking for to much right?! Well i think Just darling delivered just that with this dress! The intricate detailing of this dress is just amazing! Seriously just go get the dress its beautiful and you won’t be disappointed!

One thing you will notice right away about this dress is how great the skirt flows! If you want to make a very ethereal entrance  into your next event this dress would totally get your point across!  I’ve kept the accessories to a minimal with this look. I think one of the easiest ways for a girl to ruin her formal look is to go overkill on the accessories, sometimes less is really more!  Chop Zuey Couture is by far my favorite place on the grid for formal  jewellery, with Earthstones being a close second. Ive used pieces from both of them to complete this look! Chop Zuey’s Kaleidoscope necklace and earrings added just the right pop of color to this look! I wasn’t surprised though cause I’ve never had a hard time finding something I love in that store!

 

I’ve finished off this look with a Sparkle clutch by Septem Essentina and  Lady Night pumps by SKIFIJA.  I love these shoes, but I have to be honest with you ladies though coloring them can be difficult.  I know that most of us are no strangers to what a pain it can be to match skintone sometimes, so just give yourself sometime and  patience and you will get it!  And remember just like in Rl when it comes to fashion no pain no gain ladies! LOL

Look 10 (DNC – Swing Baby Swing)

I’m on a role tonight so I think I will just go ahead and post  LOOK 10 right now too!! I had a goal with this look and I’m not sure if i got it, but I did like the look of the outfit in the end just the same! I was trying to do a sexy casual summer date night look.. Imagine something you would wear to a beach party or a open air club.   Hucci has this really cute crop top that I think worked perfect for this look.

I was really torn on what to do for a bottom for this look.. I knew i wanted some jeans, but I couldn’t figure out how to dress them up at first. Then I remembered the waist scroll that I picked up from Ce Cubic effect awhile ago It added the perfect touch for what I was going for!  If you don’t know about Ce Cubic effect its a pretty cool clothing place, I’m not sure if they are making anything new, I haven’t been there in some time, but  their stuff is good and stylish enough you will be able to make use of it for a very long time!

Ladies we all know that any good club look has to have a great clutch purse!  Keeping track of your bag when out on the town is hard enough so we like to keep them small! Honestly there were so many great bags on MP I had a hard time picking one.. LOL.. Truth be told I think I ended up getting 3 or 4, but hey I can always use them for future blogs right?!  Okay so rounding out this look is a great hair that a picked up from hair fair.. Very old Hollywood don’t you think? In case you were wondering the flower does not come with the hair, but it does make a great touch.. I chose to go with just some light jewelry and classy pumps with a great pattern to compliment this look!

Look 8 (Who Are You When I’m Not Looking- Blake Shelton)

I know this is out of order and I did look 9 yesterday,but I found the missing pictures for look 8 yesterday and thought I would go ahead and post them!! This is a simple workday look pairing a pair of black leggings with a tank and a blazer. I used some accessories to really dress this look up. Choosing some deep gold pieces with colorful stones to bring in some much needed color.

I love this over sized purple paisley print bag  it gives this look just the right feminine touch.  For the hair I also went supper girly using a  style I got from hair fair by Sugarsmack It seems like its all about the braid this summer and its no different in second life. This particular style is a halo braid very soft and perfect for a summer date night, or to add a bit of a soft touch to any outfit!

I know i just went with Glow earrings for yesterday’s blog, but I don’t think that there are many places on the grid that do statement earrings as well as Glow! These tassel earrings with purple stones work perfect for this look.  Okay now On to makeup! I think its just a matter for taste to each their own, but I always try and keep the makeup soft when I’m wearing black.

Look 9 ( I love the 80s Flashdance – Maniac )

Hey everyone! It’s been awhile since my last post, I’ve been taking on the impossible task of trying to clean out my inventory! Just a Fyi to everyone when trying to clean out your inventory it helps if you stop shopping..LOL!!  It seemed for every bit of progress I made i was filling it up with new things. So I’m about half way done with the clean up so I thought i would post a blog! In honor of Vintage fair I decided to do a throw back to the 80s look.. I know its hard for most of us to believe but the 80s ended 22 years ago!!

One of my favorite movies every has to be Flashdance, and with all the over-sized off the shoulder mesh shirts that have been comeing out lately it was a easy play to call!! has anyone notice that about every 20 years styles kinda recycle themselves so to speak. I mean iin the 90s style trends from the 70s seem to make a comeback and  the more I look around I notice that alot of the fashion trends of the 80s seem to be making a comeback; including this style of top! For my workout inspired look I decided to go with minimal accessories. I’ve found that when using bold colors like this less is really more.

I love this top and truth be told before i decided to do a blog look with it, I was just wearing it around with some jeans and it worked for a great casual look! The earrings came from a set by Glow I picked up awhile ago at The Dressing Room.. If you don’t know about the dressing room check it out it’s great if your shopping on a budget, and even if your not you can still find some great deals there and they update the collections pretty often so things stay fresh. Although Glow keeps prices pretty reasonable and if you love big earrings like I do you should Totally check them out!!
